Percival Lafer 'MP-81' Leather Sofa
Clean lines and an organic design – it's the perfect place to sit back and lounge.
During the 1970's Brazilian furniture designer Percival Lafer produced some of South America's most luxurious designer furniture. His work was also coveted in the United States and sold through high end furniture boutiques. Lafer's designs have a distinct Brazilian modernist flavour that builds on the pioneering work of other master designers such as Sergio Rodrigues.
The MP-81 is a unique and highly memorable sofa from Percival Lafer. It features an elegant robustness defined by generously proportioned, outwardly splayed club-like legs of native South American hardwood jacaranda. The leather seat is of lavish proportions and features thoughtful stitched detailing and a removable headrest.
This is a standout example of modern Brazilian design.
