Scandinavian Furnishers

Scandinavian Furnishers was a high end retailer specialising in Scandinavian furniture and design. The store was located at 15 Albert St in Auckland city during the 1960's and retailed locally produced pieces that channeled the leading international designs of the time.

Designs from Fred Lowen's furniture company Fler were showcased alongside other interesting and unique pieces that were produced specifically for the store. One of the most coveted items was an armchair by Ib Kofod Larsen that was produced locally in Mahogany.

Today, pieces from Scandinavian Furnishers are sought-after for their refined forms, striking good looks and inspired lightness of form.
