Burkhard Vogtherr is one of the most well-known German furniture designers. He studied at Kassel and Wuppertal's School of Industrial Design and founded his practice in 1972. Collaborations with brands like Fritz Hansen, Rolf Benz, and Cappellini have earned him several international design awards.
Vogtherr's designs prioritize sitting posture, movement, and functionality with a focus on minimalism. The ‘Spin’ chair for Danish maker Fritz Hansen features a bold cantilevered form and is a memorable example of Vogtherr's work during the 1990’s.
Each piece is checked and carefully hand restored at our Kingsland studio workshop. Our focus is preserving the character and patina of the design while ensuring it displays beautifully in a contemporary interior.
