Iconic Mid Century American 'Flying Ducks' by Masketeers
The iconic mid-century wall sculptures produced by American firm Masketeers have become highly coveted kitsch classics. The bold, often playful works have had many pop culture sightings, from the popular TV show Mad Men to some of the best homes in Palm Springs.
Masketeers was started in New York City in the 50s by Edward Gilbertson and Al Croce. The name came about because the original product was wooden masks made to hang on the wall. The designs expanded to include other wall decor, made mainly from oak and brass, with some walnut.
These charming ducks are a rare and highly coveted offering from Masketeers. They feature a graphic form with walnut and metal elements, making a bold statement on the wall.
