New Vintage Watch Showroom for Wynn & Thayne

Owner and founder of Wynn & Thayne, Zayyar Win Thein with furniture purchased from Mr. Bigglesworthy.
We are thrilled to have assisted with the fitout of the recently opened vintage watch showroom of Wynn & Thayne, which specialises in vintage and neo-vintage models from renowned Swiss brands like Rolex, Cartier, and Omega.
Owner and founder Zayyar Win Thein emphasises: 'The most important thing to us was to create an environment where people can learn about and appreciate watches. With items of this nature in terms of value and age, it's crucial for people to have hands-on experience—to try on the watches and assess their condition in person. We felt it was imperative to open a space to accommodate this'.
'Expanding on the vintage lifestyle element of the timepieces, Zayyar has added a thoughtful selection of objects and books to the space. He also chose several pieces from Mr. Bigglesworthy including a Danish teak desk, an Osaka Expo 70 Chair by Michael Payne in original velour textile and a pair of 1950s mahogany side chairs from New Zealand designer John Crichton.

Situated on Kent Street in Newmarket, Auckland, the building which was formerly a lumber yard office has been beautifully complemented with period-correct mid-century furniture from Mr. Bigglesworthy, an array of watch books, and vintage toy cars, creating an aesthetic that captures the essence of the same era as the watches themselves.
As the business approaches its second anniversary in November, boasting an impressive archive of over 250 sold pieces, watch enthusiasts can look forward to discovering more rare, intriguing, and hard-to-find timepieces.
