Sharp Cees Braakman 'Japanese Series' Coffee Table by Pastoe
Cees Braakman is one of the preeminent Dutch designers of the mid 20th century. His forward focused work for Pastoe from 1945 to 1978 put the company at the cutting edge of modernist furniture design throughout Europe.
Braakman was inspired by his exposure to the pioneering work of Charles and Ray Eames and their innovative use of modern materials and manufacturing techniques. This stunning coffee table is spare and light with a refined, linear steel base and simply finished table top in teak.
Each piece is checked and carefully hand restored at our Kingsland studio workshop. Our focus is preserving the character and patina of the design while ensuring it displays beautifully in a contemporary interior.
