XL John Crichton Geometric Mosaic Bowl
John Crichton's work is highly sought after, especially large examples of his mosaic tile dishes like this one.
Alternate black and white tiles are smartly arranged over most of this dish, culminating in white and black rings. To finish, Crichton opts for glossy red with a gravelly few black remains. Perhaps an interpretation reminder of the mountainous New Zealand landscape formed from lava.
Intricacy and precision are evident in the construction of this beautiful mosaic bowl, by John Crichton. The design of this piece references the Pan Pacific Modernist Movement of which Crichton was a pioneer.
Tiles: Good condition with very minor marks in keeping with age
Copper Base: Some very minor surface dents and scratches consistent with age.
