John Crichton Buttercup Mosaic Dish
John Crichton's work is highly sought after, especially beautiful examples of his mosaic tile dishes like this one.
Crichton's selection and arrangement of colour and shape is always impressive. With this cool mid century ceramic dish he presents us another inspired piece. We love the buttercup yellow which holds together the other mocha, mint and blush shades together beautifully, finished with the large centrepiece tile and signature copper frame.
Intricacy and precision are evident in the construction of this beautiful mosaic bowl, by John Crichton. The design of this piece references the Pan Pacific Modernist Movement of which Crichton was a pioneer.
Tiles: One tile on the outer rim is cracked and chipped but remains intact and this does not detract from the overall appeal of the piece. Also there is a fleabite to another tile. Other minor wear is consistent with age
Copper Base: Some very minor surface dents and scratches consistent with age
